After working as a fashion model, she decided to join Warner Bros Records and release her debut album "Dua Lipa" in 2017. This album reached number 3 in the U.K. Charts and produced eight singles. These included Be the One I.D.G.A.F and the U.K. Number One Single New Rules as well as the U.K. No. #1 track New Rules. She is the daughter of Kosovo Albanians Anesa Laxha and Dukagjin Lipa. By virtue of her maternal grandmother, she has Bosnian descent. Additionally, you can locate her ancestral ancestors from the Kosovo village of Peja. The grandparents of Lipa's grandfathers were both history professors. She has two siblings, Rina and Gjin. Lipa was musically influenced by her father who was the lead singer and guitarist of the Kosovan rock group Oda.
