Dua Lipa is a British artist/singer who was born in London United Kingdom on August 22nd 1995. After working as a fashion model, she decided to join Warner Bros Records and release her debut album "Dua Lipa" in 2017. This album reached number 3 in the U.K. Charts and produced eight singles. These included Be the One I.D.G.A.F and the U.K. Number One Single New Rules as well as the U.K. No. #1 track New Rules. Lipa has won Brit Awards for 2018 in category of British Female Artist, British Breakthrough Act, and British. Furthermore, the album's platinum certification is recognized throughout the world. She is the daughter of Kosovo Albanians Anesa Laxha and Dukagjin Lipa. By virtue of her maternal grandmother, she has Bosnian descent. Additionally, you can locate her ancestral ancestors from the Kosovo village of Peja. The grandparents of Lipa's grandfathers were both history professors. She has two siblings, Rina and Gjin. Lipa was musically influenced by her father who was the lead singer and guitarist of the Kosovan rock group Oda. At home, her dad would play original compositions, along with songs of David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics Stereophonics. Lipa began singing when she was just six years old.
